Mazzin is a small town in the Val di Fassa, which offers both artistic and historical sites of interest such as Ciasa Cassan, Ciasa Costazza and the Chiesetta di S.M.Madalena. Archaeological excavations at Dos dei Pigui in the east of Mazzin have uncovered structures attesting to the fact that there were Rhaetian settlements in the area dating back to the Iron Age.
Mazzin is centrally located in the Valleyand, thanks to an organized skibus network, you can quickly reach all major ski locations. The stop is just 100 meters from the hotel, as well as the tourist information office, supermarket and bank with ATM. There are perfectly maintained trails which wind through woods as well as open, sunny areas that are perfect for cross-country skiing.
During summer the town is the starting point for exciting excursions: following the wild and fascinating path of the Val Udai you will reach Lake Antermoia, the enchanting star of numerous mythical and folkloric local legends. Nearby there is a 48km bike path that runs through the Valle di Fassa and Valle di Fiemme. Following the trail along the river there are picnic areas and a playground.
Surrounded by beautiful nature, it’s essential that the Val Udai hotel, a barn (tobiá in ladino) turned into holiday complex, maintains its traditional characteristics of stone and wood walls. The family-run atmosphere and the genuineness of the kitchen will ensure you have a relaxing time on vacation, at one with nature and the simplicity of the mountain, all at sustainable prices.
In the kitchen we use local products, thus creating simple and honest dishes. The popular Nico pizza is naturally leavened and baked in a wood oven, as tradition dictates. The elegant and refined restaurant is set in stone vaults.
The price includes half board, excluding local tax (€ 0.70) and drinks. For bookings with only bed and breakfast, there will be a €10 reduction in price. Prices are for a weekly stay; stays of just a few days will cost slightly more.
